The Government has appointed a committee of leading medical men, under the presidency of Lord Moulton, to carry out a world-wide research on the best treatment of tuberculosis and to provide data on insurance an sanatoria. Many friendly societies complain of ,the serious depletion of their funds by trivial sickness claims. The Grand Master of the Manchester Unity declares that the administration of insurance 'benefiits menaces both the national fund and the friendly societies' funds.
