The Stratford team to play on Thursday ii team from the Inglcwood Club, at Stratford, on Thursday, will be selected from the following:—R. B. Anderson. P. €. Budd, Crawshaw (2), L. Curtis.'N. F. Dtinlop, F. N. Fussell, B. A. Jackson, Spenee (2). P. Skoglund, J. H. Thompson, F. P. Uniacke, Wright (2). The men's bogey played last week was won by Mr. W. J. Crawshaw. Miss Fussell and Mrs. Robinson tied for honor in the ladies' bogey, and in the play-off Miss Fussell beat Mrs. Robinson.

J 1 FOOTBALL The following will represent the Stratford Second Juniors in their match against New Plymouth High School at New Plymouth, on Thursday next, leaving by the 8.30 a.m. train:—Collins (2), Sullivan (2), Campbell, Syme, Vickers (2), Cameron, Russ, Till, Carseldine, Sangster, Bishop, Stewart; emergencies, O'Neil, Sheahan, Vickers, Cameron. Shed practice to-night, when all players are requested to turn up. THE ASSOCIATION GAME. The Taranaki team meets Wellington in the Brown Shield competition, at Wellington, on July 12. Mr. J. J r East has been appointed to manage the team on! tour. AN IMPORTANT SALE On July 22 Mr. Newton King is to ofi'er by auction, at the property, the whole of the stock, implements, etc., on "Fair Farm," Mr. Thos. Webb's wellknown and excellently farmed little property on Warwick road. The Ayrshire herd is a picture, and their butter-fat performances are just as pleasing. Mr. Webb in an enthusiast, almost a farmer hobbyist, and he has spared no expense in securing cows from the best Ayrshire i milking strains. His successes in the show-ring, and the excellent figures in the testing record hooks tell the story. Some very fine purebred Berkshire pigs, prize-winners again, will also be offered. Of the implements it may be said that probably no farmer in the district pays more attention to the care of the implements, which should therefore sell well. STRAY PARAGRAPHS Mr. A. West bas sold his splendid farm on the East road to Mr. R. Rogers, of Inglewood. It is understood that Mr. West intends leaving for Auckland. Messrs. W. H. H. Young & Co., land agents, negotiated the sale. Miss McKeon, formerly with Messrs. 1 Morey & Son, was made the recipient of a presentation from her fellow-board-ers at the Club Hotel on Snnday afternoon. Mr. R. H. Bright was the' spokesman, and on behalf of "the house"' wished Miss McKeon happiness in her married life. The presentation took the form of a silver kettle and spirit stand. Lodge Triumph, the new lodge formed by Mr. H. T. Spiers, organiser for the American Constitution of Oddfellows, is to be opened on Thursday evening at St. Andrew's Hall. The borough inspector has recently made a big haul amongst offenders I against the by-law which prohibits driving at night in the borough streets without lights. Even after the repeated warnings from the. Bench, and recent sad accidents, the practice continues unabated. An exceptionally handsomely decorated wedding cake in Mr. W.
