Patrick Donovon, who escaped from the Terrace Gaol on Wednesday and was recaptured four hours later, was to;day sentenced to an additional three months' imprisonment. THE PUTIKI TROUBLE. Wanganui, Friday. The latest development of the Putiki trouble is that the six men who were brought from Wellington to replace those who refused to sign on, have also declined' to sign,' pending instructions from Wellington. TERRITORIALS FINED. Dannevirke, Friday. Two Territorials were fined £2 7s and £3 7s respectively by, Mr. S. E. M. McCarthy, S.M., for-failing to attend par'rides. Two senior cadets who interrupted drills by turning out the gas. hooting officers and otherwise offending because the" drill ; was unpalatable to them, were fined £1 each and costs, iand warned'-not to offend again.
