DRASTIC REGULATIONS.
PRIME MINISTER AND DAIRYMEN 7 . Per Press Association. Dunedin, June 18. A deputation of the Dunedin and Suburban Dairymen's Association waited ob the Prime Minister this morning. Mr. Massoy, after hearing the views of th» deputation, said he understood them to say that the present regulations wer# too drastic; that inexperienced men were sometimes appointed to administer them, and that too much power was in these inspectors' hands. He was a farmer himself, and lie understood how important it was that not only stock, but sheds also, should be kept in proper condition. He would have the statements about th« inexperienced men looked into, and see what could he done. He agreed that inexperienced men could not administer th«regulations as they should be administered. If that was the case, ho would see that men were there who had experience. If it were possible to provide some form of appeal, be thought this should lie done, but at the moment he could not see how it could be worked.
