THE LEAGUE GAME. By Cable—Press AssociationyCopyright. Received 18, 11.25 p.m. Brisbane, June 18. At Toowoomba, there was beautiful weather- for the Queensland-New Zeal* and match. The New Zealanders gave a splendid exhibition of passing and tack' ling. The Queenslanders displayed no dash, and at times were completely out- ' classed. At half-time the score was, New Zealand Hi, Queensland 3. The final score was New Zealand 32, Queensland fl. , Duvall, Ifwerson, and Hayward scored two tries each, and Hayward and Bradley one each. Ifwerson kicked > four goals. Queensland secured two tries. THE RUGBY GAME. MAORIS 11, v. QUEENSLAND 0. Received 28, 8.20 p.m. Brisbane, June 18. * The Maoris defeated .Queensland by eleven pomts to nil. There was beautiful weather and the game was vigorously contested. The Maoris' passing was brilliant, and their defence very sound.. Queensland's form was much below that of Saturday. They were defending for the greater part of the game, and lacked combination. Ryland scored two tries and French ont. Woods converted one. A TEAM FOR CALIFORNIA. ! NORTH'v. SOUTH.' Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night The New Zealand Rugby Union derided last night to send a team to California, leaving Wellington on October 10th. Not more than, two'matches weekly are to be played.
