Christehurch, Last Night. The afternoon session of the Alliance Convention was devoted to a discussion on legislative dangers to the party. During the discussion the democratic campaign was extensively referred to. and the reports of the delegates stated that many thousands of electors had already pledged themselves not to vote for any candidate who would not pledge himself to support a simple majority and substantially reduce, the present lhro> fifth majority.
