« SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. ' Summary. Strong westerly winds liave prevailed, and gales are reported in several places in the South Island. Unsettled and cloudy weather has prevailed, with showers in parts. The barometer has been unsteady, with a falling tendency. Forecast: Present indications are for strong westerly winds, Teering to southerly after about twenty hours. Cloudy and unsettled conditions, ■with rain and colder weather probably following in all parts of the Dominion.
