The Magistrate ordered a recount of the votes at the Harbour Board poll, petitioners alleging that certain votes which should have been declared informal were credited to one candidate who was returned by a majority of one. CHARGE OF MOOTING. Dunedin, Tuesday. John Allen has been arrested at Ophir on a charge of shooting his wife and causing actual bodily harm. Her injuries are not serious.
