FOOTBALL.

BANKS AND LAW. In connection with the football match announced by our Stratford Correspondent to be played between the Banks and Law teams of Stratford and New Plymouth on the King's Birthday, the following local players are requested to go into training:—Glasgow, Armstrong, Stowe, Bamfield, Simpßon, Pott, Brown, Glenn, O'Neill, Standish, Quilliam, Brooks, Brokenshire, Reid, Nicholson, Jennings, Thompson, Grant, Cargo, Webster, Newell and another.

The following will represent Inglewood against Star at Inglewood on Saturday II Russell, Hughes, Kennedy, Sutherland, A. Smith, Bullock, Eggleton, G. Nicholls, L, Olson, S. George, P. Chapman, G. Kau > L Russell; J. Fraser. Technical College will be represented by the following in their match against Clifton Thirds, at Waitara, to-morrow: Taylor, Boswell, Crone, Aldridge, Harvey (2), Mack, Howson, Gleeson, Mason, Evans, Milne, May, Lcaland, and Bellringer. Emergencies: Parker, Bayly, and Fuller.

An error appeared in the list of first junior fixtures for to-morrow as published in Saturday's paper. The first junior matches set down for decision are as follows:—Stratford v. Clifton, at Waitara; Star v. Tukapft, on Star ground', and Eltham v. Inglewood.

ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL. INGLEWOOD CLUB FORMED. At the adjourned meeting of supporters of Association football, held at Inglewood last night, a very encouraging number of enthusiasts turned out. A club was formed with a playing membership, at present, of twelve. Mr. H. .T. H. Okcy was appointed president, subject to his acceptance, and Mr. H. R„ Geddcs, secretary. An initial practice will b° held on Thursday, and the matter of affiliation will be proceeded with immediately. The .club should form; a welcome addition to the Thursday Soccer competition.
