THE SUEZ CANAL. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 26, 11.30 p.m. London, May 26. Despite the 50 centimes reduction in dues the receipts of the Suez Canal for 1912 increased by 1,884,400 francs. A dividend of 165 francs has been declared.

INTERESTING EXPLORATIONS London, May 27. Dr. YVollaston informed Reuter that he found at a height of five thousand fecton Mount Carstenez a friendly folk of diminutive stature. He reached an altitude of fifteen thousand feet, when ice and dense fog compelled him to retreat. His canoe capsized on the Utakawa river, and Wollaston had a narrow escape. He lost his instruments and three months' diaries.
