I ' Wellington, Last Nigiiit. w Dominion Meteorologist issued the [wing weather summary and forecast fpjn. to-day:—Summary: A westerly itt area has to-day enveloped the le Dominion, and the barometer is Jually low. The winds are princif' from the north, and increasing pig to a gale, and rain is falling fche west coast and in the southern fast. Queenstown is reporting snow, jcaat: Present indications are for a tj westerly gale, veering to south- ',' Heavy rain is probable, with the ta in high flood on the west coast ;in the southern districts. There r -be snow on the higher levels and trical disturbances may be expected, i heavy seas in the Cook and Foix Straits and on the western coast, Easing also, off the east coast to£ow. The barometer is falling lower Ae north, but is rising in the south Ibout sixteen hours.
