Wanganui, Last Night. The weather was fine this morning, and the training tracks bore a busy appearance. Fort William and Multiply went easily over two rounds. Blue Garments pleased better than Phosphorous over six furlongs run in lmin. lS'/.sec. Nortfh-East and Phroso took a fraction longer, both going well. Roosevelt, whe is yerv fit, ran four furlongs in 53sec. Lockweod, Aruake, Armagh, Okaihau and Watch Chain got through steady work. Antarctic went a mile and then was joined bv Allure and Serenity for I another sound. The steeple horse fin- | ished strongly, and will run well next week. Dorando and Rebel jumped the I steeple fences faultlessly. The former •i? a warm favorite here for the Wanganui Steeples. Bercola and Bismarck went twice roimd the steeple course. Bercola ran off at the second fence of the double in the last round, but afterwards jumped _ well. Bismarck ran through the hen- j coop and fell heavily, hut walked away I all right. Bercola shaped well for a novice over big country. Nyland | jumped carefully two rounds of they sohooling fences. His first engagement is I at Otaki. b
At the South Australian Jockey Club's meeting the Thousand Guijieas, run over seven furlongs, was won by Royal Merv from Carmvorth, Trade Boy and thirteen others. Royal Merv took charge 1 entering the straight; and won easily by ' two lengths. Time, Imin. 31sec. ' j
