NATIVKS AND DAIRYING. The largest meeting of natives- ati Tokorangi for many, years was held on Monday (says the Feflding Star) at the meeting house, when the Maoris gathered to decide whether or not thoy would 1 go in for dairying exclusively. ' Mr. J. .Morrison, the Big White Chief of Tokorangi, was present at the meeting by request of the Maoris, to give them his advice. Mr. Nathan (of Joseph Nathan and Co.) and Mrs. Chas. Dunford,' his. manager, were present at the meeting. It was unanimously decided to sell'all the horses, cattle, sheep and pigß, off" 2300 acres .in the hands' of the Maoris, and to stock with cows. Mr. Nntlnn offered to supplv the natives with 1 cows, on the usual terms, and the offer was accepted. A creamer- will )>-> c*op|,.
