A MOTHER'S LOVE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Friday. A residence at Waitahanui, occupied by Mr. and Mrs. King and family, was destroyed by >iire last night. All escaped except a five-year-old child. Mrs. King re-entered the burning building in a heroic, attempt' to-rescue the child, and both perished. The charred remains of both were found together. Rotorua, Friday. Word has been received that Tepaea Kiriwera, aged 50. and Thoa. King, aged f>. were burnt to death at Waitahanui last night through their house being burnt.
