The, Brisbaoe express was blocked beyond. Singleton, and all northern traffic is; temporarily suspended. A. MAS DROWNED. ' '"" FLOODS SUBSIDING. Sydney, May 10. A man named Egan was crossing a creek in a sijiky. Both he and his horses were drowned. A second man who was with him was carried by the flood for a mile, but e«;aped. Maitland and other townships in the Hunter Valley are cut off and are in a serious position. The latest reports, however, state that the flood is in a stationary state. Most of the other rivers have commenced to subside.
