The newspapers, in many articles, allege that there is an attempt to establish a meat trust in the Argentine. The !Rural Society has summoned a conference of cattle-breeders in order to protect themselves from American monopoly. The Minister of Agriculture has requested the American refrigerating companies to explain the proceedings giving ■rise :to the suspicions.
