THE FIVE-POWER LOAN. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, May 9. The Daily Telegraph's Pekin correspondent reports that Austria demands a share in the Chinese five-Power loan to the extent of £3,500,000. This comes as a surprise to the five-Power syndicate, but investigations show that the Austrian group consists of the Krupp and Skoda works, which have combined with the object of securing the monopoly of the Chinese market for arms and steel.
