WRECKED H A HURRICANE. .., By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 5, 7.35 p.m. Suva, May 5. The schooner Lyman D. Forster, from Puget Sound to Suva,, with a million feet of lumber, was caught in a hurricane at Turtle Island, in the Lau Group, on April 15, and was dismasted. Her rudder and all her boats, were damaged. A third of the cargo was swept away. Captain Hillman and ten of the crew built a raft and abandoned the ship on the Thursday. They reached the . Island of Kahara and thence went by cutter to Levuka, where they arrived on Sunday. The cargo was insured.
