IHe Oringi encampment was brought tdd\Tird°ay. t0 - day ' Whenthetr^ Early in the morning they left camp to drive out a suppositious enemy south of Oringi. Operations concluded at noon. The attackers went out in extended order covering a large tract of ground, and did their work effetivelv for recruits at the practical war <mme General Godley spent' the niornintr watching the field operations and the afternoon m camp inspection. General Godley considered the work of the men very good, considering it was their first, attempt at anything of the kind. Hewas also pleased with the general condition and arrangement of the camp, which he considered on» of the best m this respect held in New Zealand. He returns to Wellington to-morrow, whenall the Territorials will bo out of camp on their way home by the 2.30 train-to-morrow. T During the operations in the morning, a- Gisborne Territorial, named Norman' Ingram, accidentally discharged a blank cartridge into one of his hands, the wad remaining embedded in the flesh.
