In the House of Lords the Hunger Strike Bill was read a third time. In the House of Commons Colonel Seeley admitted that the Clement Bayard airship, purchased for £IBOO had been dismantled as unserviceable within eight weeks of her purchase. Mr. Samuel, in submitting the Post Office estimates, said that the reveaue showed a remarkable expansion. The estimated nett profit for the current year was £5,800,000. This profit saved the, Chancellor from asking for increased tax-1 ation. The remarkable development : from oversea cables and the reduction 1 of press rates had resulted in doubling the traffic in three years. London, April 24.
