An Tnvereargill telegram says that Mr. James Mulvey. of the Telegraph Office, who lias been transferred to the Stratford office as chief clerk, was the recipient of several presentations. The Irish ALlilelic Society, of which he is presirtriii, presented him with a silver afternoon tea set and a photograph of the directors. The Southland Rugby Union presented him wilh two silver fruit stands, and the Post and Telegraph staff' presented ' ' - "'■ ••> ease of cutlery and a hot-water jug. Mr. Frank Wallace, of Waverley, who is about to take up his residence at Oliaupo. Waikato, was farewelled in (lie southern township on Wednesday evening last (says the Waverley Tribune). Presentations were made of a beautiful marble clock, handsome silver entree dish and a gold sovereign case. Nearly fifty residents of the town and district attended the gathering. i
