The Republicans in the House of Representatives are considering the introduction of the Payne Hill Wool Bill, in the form of an amendment of the Democrats' measure. The caucus deferred action.
President Wilson has' decided to defer action on the Californian Alien Lands Bill, pending the passage of the measure through the State Legislature. The President lias had frequent conferences With the Japanese Ambassador. The question is arousing great interest in the United States.
