ASSESSMENT COURT.

'THE IiOROI'CH VALUATIONS. The -Assessment Court resumed its aittings yesterday afternoon before Sir. A. Grooke, S.MJ Mr. T. Mills appeared in support of the valuations and Mr. F. D . Corkill for a number of objectors. As the result of a conference between the valuer (Mr. Mills) and Mr. F. P. Coikill, the following reductions were agieed upon and were conlirmed by the Court:—W. 11. Butler £4O to £34• F S. Butler, £45 to £4O; If. Honor, £75 to £6O; A. L. Hammond, £35 to ,-£3 l; E. Hoskir. £47 to £4O; John Harvey, £49 to £4O; C. M. Lepper, £45 to £3B: J. McKcnna, £7O to .£(«); M. Fraser, £lO3 to £B.>; Constance Coleman, £7l to £34. In the defended cases of H. Hooker Leach street, the valuation of £24 was reduced to £l7. Mr Joluistyne at this stage stated that there was a possibility of a lumber of compromises being arrived at if further time were granted to refer to titles etc. lie proposed an adjournment by consent until Wednesdav next. His Worship agreed, and the' Court wag adjourned until Wednesdav next at 10 a.m. ' ' '
