THE ASSOCIATION GAME. TARANAKI ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Taranaifj.. Football Association was' held in the Town Hall Eltham, on Thursday- when there were present Messrs. Foreman and Melville (Kaponga), East and Clarke (Stratford), Barclay and' Curry (Oka-' iawa), Elliott and Roper (New Plymouth) and the Rev. Stent (Manaia). Mr. Roper was elected to the chair. BALANCE-SHEET. The balance-sheet showed receipts, including balance brought forward from the previous year of £7 10s and club affiliation fees £7 7s. totalling £ls 15s 4d; and expenditure, including representatives' expenses to Wanganui £8 7s ..4d, .£l3 0s lOd; thus leaving a credit balance of £2 14s 6d.—A'lopted. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. Officers for the ensuing season were elected as follows:—President. Mr. C. A. Wilkinson, M.P.; vice-presidents, Messrs. C. E Betts (Kaponga), R. Donald (Mania), J. (Stratford), Dr. Walker (New Plymouth) and H. Walen (Okaiawa); chairman, Rev. W. Stent; secretary, Mr. East; auditor, Rev. W. A- Butler (Stratford); representatives to the New Zealand Association, Rev. W. Stent and Mr. Munckton. It was decided that the executive consist of nonplayers and the election was held over to the next meeting of the Association. FIXTURES. The secretary was instructed to advise all affiliated clubs that tin; question of fixtures and districts be discussed at the next meeting of the Association, to he held on Wednesdav, 30th April, at Stratford.

The chairman said there had been a proposal made at New Plymouth recently to arrange a aintch 'with a "soccer" team from the H.M.S. New Zealand on the occasion of the battleship's visit. He said there would be a good crowd present, and as no doubt tW warship wguld.be able to provide a ■ good team "it would be one of the best advertisements they could obtain. He would propose that the secretary of the Association be instructed to write to Capt. Ilaslev and endeavour to arrange this riiatch.—Carried.
