Lamb.—The market is very firm on account of small supply. Canterbury (ii/.fl, other than Canterbury (\y 4 d. Beef.—The market is quiet; supplies from the River Plate are heavy. New Zealand hinds 4%d, fores 3y s d.' Butter.—The market is firm, for best quality, but there is a limited demand for the poorer grades. Choicest Now Zealand 117s, Australian and Argentine IOSs. Danish 1255, Siberian 110s. Cheese.—The market is weaker with a tendency downward; New Zealand COs 6d. Canadian 04s fid. Hemp—The market is depressed. Prices are nominal at last quotations. Spot New Zealand good fair grade £34, fair srade. £3l, fair current Manila £33. Forward shipments April to .Tune New Zealand good fair £34 10s, fair grade £3l 10s, fair current Manila £34.
