AUCKLAND GROCER BURNT OUT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Saturday. Rew estimates the damage to his stock by last night's fire at £2500. The insurance on the stock is between £4OOO and foOOO in the Commercial Union Office. The building is owned by Rew, and insured in the Alliance Office for £3500. The cause of the fire is a mystery.

FIRE AT PICTURE THEATRE. Reefton, Saturday. A fire at the Princess. Theatre last night was occasioned by a cinematograph film catching alight. The fire caused a bit of a scare and a few rushed for the doors, but the majority kept cool, and the side doors being opened, the house emptied. The cinematograph was badly damaged, but no other damage was done.
