LYSOL POISONING. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Thifrsday. A married"*' Woman. named Jessie Drury, a recent arrival from Masterton, was found dead in the Salvation Army's People's Palace last night, with a partly empty lysol bottle alongside. She was deserted liy her husband three years ago and had been in poor health. MAN FATALLY BURNED. Dunedin, Thursday. Thomas Mee, who was severely burned on Tuesday at the Catlins River railway construction works, died in the Duncdin Hospital at midnight. A BODY IDENTIFIED. Invercargill. Last Niuht. The bodv found on Matanra Island after the flood with a mutilated throat has been identified as that of William HamiJett, stock dealer, of Tnvercargill. He was a prominent witness in recent police court proceedings.
