WRECKAGE EXPLAINED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Friday. ■ In explanation of the finding of a ship's buoy and hatch on the West Coast, the buoy bearing the name Ulimaroa and Laira is explained. The Huddart Parker Company purchased the Laira for a hulk, and probably the barque's buoys were removed to the I steamer. Presumably the buoy and the | hatch belonged to the Ulimaroa, and were washed overboard during heavy weather in the Tasman Sea on the last voyage from Sydney to Wellington. THE ERRING CONSTABLE. Wellington, Friday. Four charges of burglary were laid against Constable Charles Alfred Remmers nt tlie Court to-day. He was remanded till Wednesday. All the missing property has been recovered. CARGO BROACHING. Dunedin, Friday. Pillaging lias been so bad on the last three or four Home boats that local merchants have started to insure against loss in tbat direction. -
