THE SUGAR COMMISSION.
MR. KNOX'S EVIDENCE. By Cable—Press Association— Copyright. Received 1(5, 10.20 p.m. Sydney, October 16. At the Sugar Commission, Mr. Knox said that the Sugar Company was content without protection. It did not want it. He declined to disclose the company's inner reserves, except as shown through the balance-sheet. The company was prepared to admit what it was doing in Australia, but the Commission had no right to enquire into afl'airs outside the Commonwealth.
