SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Wellington. Last Ni?ht. Summary. —Squally and changeable conditions have prevailed, and rain 'has fallen in Westland and Otago. Northerly and westerly winds have, predominated, strong to a gale southwards of Cook Strait. The barometer has been unsteady. Forecast.—Present indications are for northerly winds, strong to a gale genefally, and veering to southeasterly southward of Cape Egmont and Castle Point, after about sixteen hours. The weather is likely to prove unsettled and boisterous, with rajn in most part;, and 'hail, snow and sleet on the' nigh 'country in the South, with rivers flooded in the southern districts. There are indications for electrical disturbances Jn parts. The barometer is 'unsteady, but a rise will probably take place in the South after about sixteen ihours.
