The engagement is announced of Mr. Frederick Holmes, of Bell Block, to Miss Ivy Bishop, eldest daughter of Mr. W. H. Bishop, of Egmont road. ORANGE BLOSSOMS • JENSEN—MORROW. At Rahotu on Tuesday morning a very pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Nicholas' Church, which had been tastefully, decorated ,for the occasion by Mesdames Groom and Wright and Mr. J. B. Groom, as the bride_had always been a prominent member' of the Church of England at Rahotu„ having also for some years • acted-as secretary" to the local committee and also superintendent of the Sunday School. The contracting parties were Miss- Jane Morrow, eldest daughter of Mr. R. Morrow, an old resident of Rahotu, and Mr. C. J. Waldemar Jensen. The bride, who was given away by her father, was • attired in a cream serge costume, relieved' with pale blue trimming, anil wore a wliite hat trim-' med \Wth[white,- indpale blue. Two of her sisters were in attendance, viz., Miss Maggie, who was' robed in white silk and carried a bouquet of violets, snowflakes and maidenhair, and Miss Mina, wdioiw.ore a-dress. eolienne, and carried' a basket of violets. Mr. A. D. Fielder acted a* best man. Mrs. J. B. Groom presided at the organ; and- as the party- left 1 the church - played tke "WejjdiflgMarch.'V, The Rev, C. Addenbrooke was-the officiating minister, and at the conclusion of the cere- - moriy presented the -bride, on behalf -of . the- congregation, with a handsome sil-•ver-mounted oak tray, suitably inscribed. The members of the Sunday "School also " entertained the bride at an afternoon tea at thfc residence'of Willeox 'oft the preceding Saturday and presented her with a .silver tap-pert; —'"After leaving the church the guests journeyed to the residence of tire bride's parents, Lower Kahui road, Rahotu, where a recherche ■ -wedding breakfast was partaken of and the usual tdasfe were proposed and hon"ored.l The presents' w"cr,e' numerous and valuajble,, and the newly-married couple had 'a, great send-off as they left per motor car for New Plymouth on their honeymoon, which will be spent in South Taranaki. The bride's travelling dress was a dark green cloth costume. In the 'evenijng Mr. and Mrs. Morrow entertained a number of friends at their residence.
