In the course of the debate, Mr. Hughes announced that the shipping companies had withdrawn their action for testing the Anti-Trust Act, arising out of the vend case, and had paid all fines and costs, totalling over £16,000. THE ADDRESS-IN-REPLY. Received 12, 11.30 p.m. Melbourne, July 12. The House adopted the Address-in-Reply and adjourned until Tuesday. Subsequently Mr. Bryce was entertained at Parliament House at a brilliant gathering.
