Firsts prize £2 10s, second prize £l. third prize 10s. CIRCULAR ROAD RACE. A meeting of the committee of fhe Circular Road Cycle Race was held last night. The president (Mr. J. Williams) presided. The secretary was authorised to write to Mr. J. D. Williams, cycle sports promoter, Hugh D. Mcintosh, and the secretary of the League of Wheelmen, New South Wales, giving information as to the proposed race. A committee consisting of Messrs. J. Williams, W. C. Weston, Geo. Griffiths, Jas. Clarke, Geo. Tabor, A. George, J. McKean, and H. Brooks was appointed to canvass the town for subscriptions towards the race funds. The offer made by Mr. M. L. Holali to canvass the district around the route of the race was accepted with thanks. Messrs. H. Brooks, H. Moon, J. Elliott, Geo. Griffiths, A. 'George, M. Julian, G. Tabor, and J. K. Hawkins were appointed to consider the question of arranging entertainments in aid of the funds. The same committee will also decide re making a display at the forthcoming Winter Show. Matters in connection with the race appear to be particularly bright, and its prospects are rosy. Already the committee has received a donation from Messrs Inglis Bros., of Wellington, in the shape of an "Argyle" bicycle, valued at £l3 10s.
