Canterbury, 4d to 4»/ 2 d; North Island, 3%d to 4d. " Lamb.—The market is firm, with good demand for all classes of lamb. Canterbury, 6y 8 d; other than Canterbury, o%d. Beef.—The market is firm, and there are moderate supplies coming forward. New Zealand hindquarters, 4%d; New Zealand forequarters, 3%d. Butter.—The market is firm, with a good demand for all descriptions. Prices are advancing. Choicest New Zealand, 113s; Australian, 108s; Danish, 120s; Siberian, 109s; Argentine, 107s. Cheese.—The market is firm, with good demand; stock moderate. New Zealand white 72s 6d, colored 72s fid. Hemp.—The market is quiet, and prices are slightly weaker. Spot New Zealand good fair grade, £2l ss; fair grade, £2O 10s;' forward shipment same price as spot. Pair current Manila, £22; forward shipment, £22 10s. The output from Manila for the week was 24,000 bales. Hops.—The market is firm, with a hardening tendency. There is a great demand in the market. LONDON MARKETS. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received a cablegram from their London office dated 10th inst. is follows: — Frozen Lamb. —The market is very firm, and since our last cablegram prices are y K <l per lb. higher. Frozen Mutton. —Prices are 1 / s d per ilb higher for light weights. Other dej scriptions are unchanged, and the market is firm. Frozen Beef.—There is an improved demand at unchanged prices. i Tallow.—The market is quiet. Prices I are at times 6d per' cwt. less.
