Wool.—The following are the prices realised for the fleece portion of the clips named: Tite, top liy 2 d, average 9%d; Howard, top lid, average 10 3-sd. Copper.—The spot supplies are 38,161 tons, deliveries 38,565 tons, stocks 49,771 tons, afloat 7OOQ tons. Tin.—Stocks 12,812 tons, spot 3005 tons, afloat 3195 tons, deliveries 2757 tons. Tallow.—Stock fiOGl tons, imports 4000 tons, deliveries 3407 tons.
AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Received 2, 10 p.m. Sydney, Mav 2. Wheat, 4s 3%d to 4s 4%d. FlourCity, £9 10s; country, £9 7s 6d. Pollard, £7. Bran, £6 10s. Oats—Tasmansparrowbills, 3s sd; Giants, 3s <sd to 3s 7d; Algerian seed, 3s 9d; feeding 3s 6d; New Zealand, 3s 4d to 3s sd; Giants, 3s fid. Barley—Victorian Cape, nominal; English malting, 5s 9d to <ss. Maize, 5s 2d to 5s 3d. Onions, 13s. Potatoes, £8 10s to £lO 10s. Cheese, B>/ 2 d to 9d. Butter —Selected, 120s; prime, 108s to 116s. Bacon, 5y s d to 0y 2 d. Melbourne, May 2. Hides are in fair supply and very firm in all classes.
WOOL SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date April 30:— London Wool Sales.—The sales progress firmly. There is a decreased American demand for crossbred wool. As compared with last sales' closing rates prices are lower 'by about par to five per cent, for medium and fine greasy crossbred; higher by about five per cent, for merino scoured, greasy crossbred lambs, greasy merino and scoured crossbred; higher by about par to five per cent for lambs, coarse greasy crossbred, and crossbred slipe.
