Mr. IS. C. Robbins. late Mayor of Hawera, ia contesting the ' Tauranga Mayoralty. Dr. Milroy, late of New Plymouth, has gone to Manain, where he has entered into practice on his own account. The Hon. O. Laurenson, Minister of Marine, and the Hon. Dr. Te Rangihiroa, Native Minister, will visit Mokau to-day. It is stated on good authority that Mr. Andrew Rutherford intends to contest the Ilurunui electorate as an Independent at the next election. Mr. A. R. Thomson, Grand Counsellor of the Good Templar Order for New Zealand, arrived by last night's mail train. During his stay he will visit the lodges of Taranaki belonging to the Order.
