The police were advised, and Detectives Andrews and Lewis, after making investigations, arrested eight men. who will be charged at the Magistrate's Court this morning with the theft of tobacco. An adjourned meeting of the Freezing Company is to be held on Tuesday to discuss the confirmation o£ a motion passed last week calling upon the directors to resign.
