.•NXJAMOXU CLUB. The first qualifying round of the championship was played on Saturday in fine weather, but there was a fairly strong westerly wind, which accounted for the scores being hardly up to the usual level. The final round will Ibe played next Saturday, and the eight best scores for the two Saturdays' play will qualify for the play-off. Twenty players entered' on Saturday, and the following are the nine best cards returned:—W. C. Weston SO, H. H. Ward SB, F. S. Johns 88, W. Bewle.v 88, A. 11. Glasgow 88, J. S. S. Medley 00, E. Bary 00, J. Paton 92, P. McCord 03. TARAHUA CI/ÜB. On the Tarahua links on Saturday a mixed ifoursomes ma.tch was played between teams selected by the ladies' captain and the dub captain. The winners will play-off on Saturday week. ■Next Saturday the qualifying round for the club championship will be played.
