ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES
STATEMENT BY HON. T. MACKENZIE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Nighit. Speaking to-night at a complimentary social tendered to him at Green Island ■by his constituents, the Hon. T. Mackenzie referred to a statement which appeared in the press relative to information bring obtained about the decisions of the Boundary Commissioners 3>y Oabinent Ministers, who used it for electioneering purposes, and gave it a most emphatic denial. It was to be deplored, he said, that almost every move they made was converted into something, dishonorable. He was sure that the country was sick and tired of the expense anil distortion caused by the rearrangement of constituencies. The question of community of interest was entirely done away with, because the Commissioners had to fix their boundaries on such narrow margins of population. The country was tired of the system, and the sooner it was rectified the better.
