; i ' SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is the weather summary and forecast:—The barometer rose in the north during the night, but has fallen everywhere to-day. Cloudy and hazy wsather has prevailed, with showers in a few places. Moderate to strong northerly winds have predominated. Present indications are for increasing northerly winds, and gales are probable southward of New Plymouth and Napier, cloudy and unsettled weather preceding rain in most parts of the country. The barometer has a falling tendency everywhere, especially in the south, and the teas are increasing on all the western coasts.
