SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
•' By Telegraph.—Press Association. I Wellington, Last Night. Heavy rain fell in the far north during Thursday night, and showery weather has prevailed to-day on the east coast of the North Island, and the weather has been cloudy and unsettled at times elsewhere. There has been little movement of the barometer. Moderate to strong easterly and south-easterly-winds have predominated. Present indications a falling barometer in the southern districts, with increasing northerly and easterly winds with little movement, and moderate to strong easterly winds are probable in the northern--most districts. Unsettled and cloudy weather is expected at times generally, and showery in parts. Low pressure is due to pass south on or about Sunday morning.
