WAITARA TO URENUI.

PROPOSED RAILWAY EXTENSION, Our Waitara correspondent advise* that the Public Works Department is making a survey to Urenui i* connection with the suggestions recently made to the Minister of Public Works that the two places should be connected by a railway. This would necessitate a bridge with an opening span for steamer traffic adjacent to Messrs. Hatrick and Co.'s shed. Such a railway should pay, judging by the large amount of waggons used for the haulage of goods through that district.
