' The Meteorological Office issues the following weather summary and forecast:—Barometric pressure has decreased everywhere, but especially in-the far noVth, with high easterly winds, and heavy rain has fallen in those parts. Hazy and cloudy weathet has spread over the country to-day, "with variable winds. Present ihdicatfons are for a falling barometer everywhere, and rain in all parts of the country, with rivers rising in the North Island. Easterly winds, strong to gale, "will probably prevail northward of Kawhia and Castlepoint, and increasing easterly and northerly winds elsewhere soon.
