HARBOR BOARD ELECTIONS
NEW PLYMOUTH. TARAXAKI AND EGMONT COUNTIES. The final returns do not affect the result as published in yesterday's issue, except that Messrs King and Maxwell have increased their lead. The result is that Messrs Newton King (502) and E. Maxwell (332) are elected, Mr. R. Price receiving 250 votes. The Harbor Board election resolved itself into a fight between the breakwater and inner harbor parte, the later winning all three Napier seats, with J. J. Niven, W. J. McGrath, and M. F. Bourke. The victorious party is pledged to a thorough investigation as to the best harbor, and it is not unlikely engineering advice will be sought from Home.
Napier, Last Night. The election of three members representing the Hawke'a Bay county and the Mohaka riding of the Wairoa county on the Napier Harbor Board, resulted in the return of Messrs. Charles Elliaon, Thomas Clark, and Philip Parsons, all supporters of the inner harbor ticket.
