A CORONATION GIFT

FROM THE GEORGES TO THE KING. By Telegraph.—Pre6B Association, Auckland, Last Night. A movement is on foot in various parts of the British Empire to make a Coronation gift to King George V. from those of his subjects who are blessed with the same Christian name as he bears. His Excellency the Governor proposes that a fund should be opened for the receipt of contributions from the New Zealand Georges. It is expected that arrangements will be made to open special accounts in the towns throughout the Dominion, so that contributions can be paid in time for the fund to be available by June 1.
