THE MOROCCAN REBELLION

MAJOR BREMOND'S FORCE. THREATENED MASSACRE BY TRIBESMEN. By Cable.—Pres* Associn tion.—Copyright Received 27, 11.5 p.m. Tangier, April 25. At the Government's instance, owing to the critical situation in Fez, Major Bremond, without awaiting the convoy of money, food and ammunition from Alcazar, retreated Fez-ward with his Moorish troops, pushing through the Ulcdjumma country. Major Bremond reports that the rn. structors are in good health, and adds that although his Mahalla fought with much discipline and decision, the Wioesmen from Sherarda are bolder, being animated by the anti-foreign sentiment, and intend massacring all falling into their hands.

Major Monier will three week* hence have 23,000 troops at Casablanca.
