FOR THE CONSOLIDATION OF EMPIRE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 27, 10.20 p.m. London, April 27 The Government entertained delegates to the Education Conference at a dinner at the House of Commons. Mr. Asquith said that if the Conference could co-ordinate the Empire's resources and provide an efficient, vital and vigorous system of teaching, it would do more for the consodidation of the Empire and happiness of the people than many so-called social reforms.
