The Meteorological Ofßcje issues the following weather summary and forecast.—The barometer has fallen slowly everywhere, with high : westerly winds and stormy weather. Electrical storms and heavy rain have been experienced in many parts.- The rivers have been flooded on the West Coast of the South Island. Present indications are for westerly winds, strong to gale, veering to southerly everywhere -shortly. Rain and colder weather are expected, with snow on nigh lands in the South. The baroneter will probably fall slowly for a few boors, hut 'rise rapidly in the South Biortfy.
