RE-UNJON PICNTC. There was a very good attendance at the Re-union Sports on Thursday afternoon. The different competitions attracted good fields and some good running, etc., was witnessed. The mile event was well contested, Bell and Stoddart, after a magnificent race, breasting the tape simultaneously. Results: — 100 yds Handicap—First heat: Slight 1,1-1. L. Daley 2, Crozier 3. Second heat: Crockett 1, Leighton 2, Loesch 3. Final: Crockett 1, Loesch 2. Seventeen starters. Married Ladies' Race—Mrs. Downes 1, Mrs. 11. Lobb 2.

A general committee meeting will be held on .Monday night to wind up affairs for the season. WAREA SPORTS. The Warea Sports Club held their fifth annual sports in the Recreation ({rounds on Wednesday. The day was a glorious one, and there was a fair crowd present. The programme started about 11.30 a.m. A protest was entered in the novice vliop by 11. Xgaia against W. Coombes, who won the chop, on the grounds that he was not a novice chopper. The protest committee upheld the protest. The gate takings amounted to a little over .tlO, as against £l3 His last year. The fields this year were very poor as compared with those of the "last meeting. The committee worked hard. The chopping competitors had to get their own blocks ready. The refreshment booth was in charge of Mr. C. W. Corbett. Unfortunately no hand was present, there only being a phonograph. Results: UMyd.s Handicap—ll. Xgaia (i)yds) 1, S. Julian (10yds) 2. Three started. A good finish. Xoviee Chop—ll. Xgaia I. Maiden Chop— 11. Magon and A. Deacon dead heat. Five started. Maiden Sawing Competition—ll. Young and mate 1, 0. Magon and mate i.
