The chairman of the Methodist Conference, at the foreign mission meeting, referring to Fiji, said that while the Fijians were decreasing at the rate of 1500 per annum the Indians there were increasing by 4000 per annum. He warned his hearers of the danger arising owing to the Indians ousting the Fijians. Another speaker asked, "What is to become of Fiji if Indians are allowed to overrun it?"
